COL PHILLIP L. NOLTEMEYER, Jr.
Colonel Phillip L. Noltemeyer, Jr. serves as Director, Air Force Petroleum Office, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Operating out of eight sites strategically located around the world, the Air Force Petroleum Office (AFPET) provides Air Force leaders with comprehensive information, services, and technical expertise needed to provide fuel support to air, space, and ground forces across the spectrum of operations. AFPET serves as the Air Force Service Control Point for all information interfacing with Defense Logistics Agency-Energy, and is responsible for the coordination and implementation of Air force fuels policy with OSD, SECAF, CSAF, 12 MAJCOMs, and DLA. The team is also responsible for supporting development of and providing oversight for the Air Force’s $8.5 billion annual worldwide jet fuel requirement. In addition, AFPET is charged with overseeing execution of the more than $1 billion Air Force worldwide fuels MILCON and facility repair program.  Col Noltemeyer entered the Air Force in 1995 as a Distinguished Graduate of the University of Louisville Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program. After spending an initial tour in recruiting, he has served in a variety of fuels, vehicle, supply, and air transportation jobs throughout the base, MAJCOM, HQ Air Force, and Joint Service levels, and has Commanded at the Squadron and Group level.
